Washington Park

The Root River basin in Racine, former sea-bed of Glacial Lake Chicago, is home to Washington Park Golf Course. Throughout the state of Wisconsin,Washington Park remains the oldest golf course on record within city limits. This nine hole course offers visitors a serene outing with easy access to city-life. The course takes players over the river several times and is accessible from the Root River Pathway. Also bordering the Root River are the Racine Country Club , Meadowbrook Country Club, and Johnson Park. These clubs offer 18-hole courses with hardwood forests, native plantings and river scenery.

Racine Country Club

This club will provide you with an unforgettable golf experience. Our course is located on a spectacular 200 + acre property of native hardwoods and rolling terrain which presents an interesting round for both the seasoned and casual golfer. Experience natures beauty … each hole was created to blend into and accentuate the beauty of its natural surroundings. The golf course is blanketed with bentgrass fairways and wildflower plantings. It is enhanced by a series of ponds and the Root River winding through the property.

Johnson Park

The challenging par 72, 6703 yard course takes advantage of the natural settings of the Root River and the surrounding groves of large trees. This course has long been Racine’s premier public courses offering reasonable prices, a friendly atmosphere, and a reputation for excellent course conditions, Johnson Park has become a favorite destination for golfers from all over Southeastern Wisconsin. Johnson Park is a mature 18-hole facility opened in 1931 and is open to the public.

Meadowbrook Country Club

Meadowbrook’s 6419–yard golf course is designed and groomed with the attention to detail that makes a course endlessly interesting and pleasurable.Impeccably manicured, Meadowbrook places great importance in maintenance and landscaping, and uses environmentally safe products to help preserve and sustain it’s wildlife habitat and natural beauty. With every round, one can appreciate the freshwater stream as it rambles through the course, connecting three ponds.
